How about a Charlie "Live" CD release? Other then the song "guitar Hero" there aren't any others. I f it was up to me (& it sin't) I choose as many of the "rock out " songs as opposed to the songs that lean in the synthesizer direction, if you catch my drift. Y'all have so many great songs available you'd almost have to do a double CD release IMHO. After all you wouldn't want to leave a great song out right? Of course a great live CD has got to have a few ballads sprinkled liberaly throughout. For those I suggest "Keep me in mind" & "Fool for your love". And for the last song (encore) I'd play "I like rock and roll", it would kind of sum up the whole live CD experienece for me. In the immortal words of Jean Luc Picard, "make it so"!
I have a recording of Charlie from 1977, Live at the Ivanhoe Theater (Chicago). I recorded it off the radio (WXRT Chicago) onto cassette. I had not played it in years, but right now I am ripping it to MP3 on my computer.
I wonder if anyone would be upset if I made copies available?
Rick, thank you so much for sharing this absolute gem and considering the age of the show the quality is amazing. Just goes to show what a great tight live band Charlie were, and still missed to this day.
Like my birthday and Xmas has come early and at once.
