First saw Charlie live at the New Victoria supporting Focus - first album out - remember Prisoners being played - very good - so bought Album
About a year later me and my mate Steve - we were around 17, went to see the lads at a London college - can't remember which one - Second album out - great show but only around 7-8 people in the audience
Such a great band , such good songs - deserved a lot more - shame that most of the big gigs seemed to be in America.
Have recently bought every album I was missing on CD - many different styles but just great songs - ah well nostalgia aint wot it used to be
I am sure I saw Charlie first supporting The Who 22nd December 1975 at Hammersmith Odeon and was blown away by them.Bought Fantasy Girls and next saw them supporting Focus ( who where crap) at Hull ABC in 1976.Still listen to Fantasy Girls every month - so fresh
I'd love to see or in this case hear the group Charlie do a live album. So many great tracks to choose from the mere thought gives me Goose bumps, LOL. I'm sure there are more then enough tracks done live over the years from which to pull from the only question is, which ones? Did Charlie tour in support of each release? That answer I'm not sure about!
