On the 9th May, there's a memorial gig for Steve Gadd at the Wood Green Labour Club in North London.
It's been organised by his friends who couldn't make the funeral.
The Fabulous Lampshades will play and Martin Smith, John Anderson and myself with Steve Alexander on drums will play 4 Charlie songs Prisoners, Fantasy Girls, Johnny Hold Back and Summer Romances - that's the plan anyway.
I'm guessing this will be the closest we'll get to the member of 'Charlie' ever playing live together.
Resent, minus the difficult to read coloured text (sorry)

Last night so many people gathered to pay tribute to Steve Gadd, and what an amazing evening it was.
It was heaving with family, friends and fans who wanted to play their part in this memorial gig.
The evening kicked off with a Lampshades gig and 7 tracks, Terry, Steve, Andy and Charlie played a mix of old and new songs.
Then after a short break, the Lampshades returned to do two more numbers and then it happened. Andy and Charlie left the stage to be replaced by John Anderson and Martin Smith and you could feel a crackle in the air. Then it was into 'Prisoners' and absolute magic happened. This was the first time in 30 years they have been on stage together and nearly that long since John has played live and it was like they had never been away. No nerves just 4 guys making great music like they always did. John and Martin looked so comfortable on stage, loving every minute and like us not wanting it to end.
Just a note about Steve Alexander, the Lampshades drummer. He had two rehearsals and the last one was two weeks before the shows and what a great job he did, Gadsy would have been so proud and chuffed with the whole evening.
At the end of 'Summer romances' and we were all on our feet cheering, applauding and screaming for more. As John walked off stage he was mobbed like a returning hero. It was truly amazing and if you where there you will cherish the evening forever. It was a fitting tribute to Steve.
The Lampshades with Martin then played some covers to end the evening and that was that.
One can only hope that we will get the chance to see Terry, John and Martin again on stage playing a set of Charlie songs one last time.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in putting on this memorial gig, will live long with everyone who was there.
A shout out to Paul, who had a word with me afterwards and to Peter R who sadly missed the gig.
