This is the latest from Charlie, October 2015. If you loved "Kitchens of Distinction" from 2009 you'll for sure love this one for sure. 14 music tracks all very strong.
Fantastic writing from Terry Thomas, great musicianship, contemporary and very well produced.
Hasn't left my cd player in the vehicle since I purchased it and play it once a day.
If you're a fan, then this is a must. Absolutely fantastic.
Although written in French, there is a Translate feature
On another note, Terry informed me that sales of Elysium is 'extremely disappointing' - so I'm guessing this drives another nail into the Charlie coffin.
Very disappointing news Peter, must be so disheartening to spend so much time making a record for so few people to enjoy. It really is a great album full of fantastic tunes, but no airplay will not help, and a label that does not do anything to promote it will drive the last nail home.
Thanks for the album Terry, love it to bits and like KOD, I never tire listening to it.
Just ordered Elysium through Amazon and can't wait to hear it. A few years ago I went to buy and download music from Charlie on I Tunes and their not listed on that sight. If you want to increase your sales you have to at least get onto this sight, which would also list the new album. I'm not a business man or legal expert but you have to go where the action is today. There is just too much great music from this band to not be on there. There are plenty of fans from our era who are always looking to replace and buy music that was lost or worn out and looking for new material. Jim
Just received Elysium and have listened to it several times, with The Super Rich being my favorite track so far. If this is Charlie's last album, your going out the way you entered it, at the top of your craft. Totally enjoyed the liner notes and all the photo's of the band over the years, what a bumpy road that was for all of you but you all survived and created some of the best songs and rock ever. I will always remember seeing Charlie in New Haven, Ct. in 1979, which led me to look them up a few years ago and now have a good collection and the 2 new albums, Thanks again to Terry Thomas and the whole Charlie family.
