Back in 1979 I was 19 year old who didn't know what he wanted to do and went to the beach in San Clemente CA. when he wasn't digging ditches. One summer night at a good friends party in Shorecliffs, a song came on and I was kind of riveted by it. I strained over the party noise to hear the title. I misunderstood the DJ and thought I knew what the song was called, but I didn't.
The song would pop up in my mind from time to time over the years but it lost who made it.
With the power of the internet 38and 1/2 years later I discovered today that it was "Johnny Hold Back" by Charlie and just listened to it on Youtube. So Glad.
