Recent update from Terry T (today actually, so 'hot off the press').
Floating World records have just reissued Kitchens of Distinction with a bonus CD, comprising of 4 demos with Terry Slessor (singing Lampshade songs), a couple of songs he demoed but never took and further, plus 'Oh, Boris' ( both Julian C and Martin S played on this).
Terry's still writing songs, talking to Julian and sees Martin fairly regularly.
Picked up the new "Kitchens of Distinction" today, just to get Disc 2. It was nice surprise getting some new Charlie this year. Hopefully there is even more Charlie music to come
Just bought the two cd version of the 2009 album. And one for my twin brother as well. Great music. Sadly Elysium was the latest album, but it is my top album in 2015! Love the music, love the lyrics. Hoping on a next Charlie release And a miracle in 2020. To all Charlie fans, a wish you nice Charlie listening moments! Kind Regards,
Is the reissue remastered as well? I really like the album but the mix is pretty terrible. Love love love the huge guitar sounds but the vocals are buried throughout.
Missed this first time round, but thanks to Peter it is now on order. Looking forward to this especially as I have seen the Lampshades live. Cheers Pete.
something compelled me to check in - saw the note about the re-issue and just ordered. not often I get excited about new music issued these days but had to order this immediately. charlie from late 70s still some of my favorite music.
I was playing through the 70s records and was compelled to check the board; saw the info on the re-issue and was still able to chase it down. Damn, this is a FINE record.
